Dear TiECon GNY Attendees:

This is to personally welcome you to TiECon Greater New York 2011. This year’s Conference promises to be our most exciting and rewarding yet, with over 250 entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and industry experts joining together in discussions and presentations about some of the major opportunities and challenges of growing and starting businesses and the role of private capital in todays economic climate.

New York City has long been the epicenter of the world’s financial market, but 2010 saw something new—a remarkable growth in the number of home grown start-ups. The NYC metro region is poised to be the next center of tinnovation and now rivals Silicon Valley in the amounts of capital raised for entrepreneurial ventures.

The TiECon GNY 2011 Conference theme is “the role of capital in entrepreneurship”, and offers
a full agenda of presenters from the entrepreneurial, venture capital and private equity communities.

TiE has long been recognized as the world’s largest network for entrepreneurs and related professionals, with a world wide ecosystem of over 13,000 members in 55 countries. This Conference promises both to bring them together from within the Greater New York area to share ideas AND to provide a platform for those with entrepreneurial spirit and those interested in economic value creation to share experiences and best practices.

So it is my great pleasure to welcome you to TiECon GNY 2011 for what promises to be a fast-paced, informative and enriching event that enables you to forge those new business alliances and move your business ahead.

Our sincere thanks are due to the Conference Committee for their tireless efforts and to our sponsors for their support, both which were instrumental in making this Conference possible.

Thanks for joining us and, once again, welcome to TiECon Greater NY 2011.

Best Regards,
